6th-4th century BC. A substantial bronze mirror handle formed as a standing nude male youth (kouros) with braided hair, hands raised above the head supporting two addorsed rams resting on a scrolled plinth; mirror bracket with fixing holes above. See Mattusch, C.C. Greek Bronze Statuary, New York, 1988. 409 grams, 17.5cm (7"). From the private collection of a North West London lady; previously with a central London gallery; formerly acquired before 1990.

Grading/Status: Very fine condition. Very rare.
